Class review and comments:
Two separate dance floors. Alan and Ros (Freedman) made us feel very welcome every time we have been there (about three times now). They go out of their way to introduce new members to the class so that attendees are aware of who they are, and come and say hello to you - a good ice-breaker to make you feel welcome.
For 9 pounds you get a lot of teaching, which is detailed and good, a milonga as well, 4.5 hours worth is good value for money I think, when you look around at other costs charged. They also supply tea (many different types such as herbal or Earl Grey), coffee and biscuits. it's a dark venue mind, you get that feeling when you leave afterwards and the light hits you outside, that maybe that's what it feels in Las Vegas after visiting the casinos.
The music is good and varied, a mixture of traditional and neo Tango is played to cater for most dancers' tastes.
A comment made was "I have never been made to feel so welcome as I have been here". The parking, as it is on a Sunday, is OK, there are some side roads you can park up. Every time I have been able to park nearby with no problem. If you need to buy a sandwich beforehand there is an Asda's and a Marks & Spencers very close.
It's on most Sundays - the 2008 dates are: 10th, 17th, 24th August. 7th, 14th 21st September. 5th, 12th, 19th October. 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd November. 7th, 14th, 21st December.
