In Tango
It seems to be mandatory
For you to have
Three dances
In a row
We all know that
- It is Tango Law

This can be great
You get to dance with your peers
And settle in with each other

But
Imagine this
It can be awful
If you get it wrong

Just suppose

You ask a girl for a dance
(Of course you are now committed to three dances in a row)
You think she can Tango
But in fact
You find out
Once you have started dancing
That she only knows how to Ceroc

What will follow is
Nine minutes of apologies
You find yourself saying
"No, my fault"
(But it isn't)
And you end up looking around
Hoping no one can see you
Dancing with her
(Yes, you do)

So, where it is awful
We have a name for it

You have been - "Ninemottled"

Let me explain...

Every dance lasts approximately 3 minutes
If you have three dances
Then you are subject
To staying with that person
In effect
For nine minutes

So then

To be NineMottled
Means that you have
Nine Minutes Of Tango Time Lost Experience

Other people will comment
"He's been ninemottled he has"

It's quite easy
To be ninemottled
Just pop along to your local Ceroc venue
Wait for a Tangoee track to be played
(You may have a long wait)
And have a wild stab at some girl
Who looks like she can Tango...
